This is Ptolemy's four book works on Astrology. Tetrabiblos was the most popular astrological work of antiquity enjoying great influence in the Islamic world and the medieval Latin West. The Tetrabiblos is an extensive piece of writing on the ancient principles of Horoscopic Astrology. It is written in four books, thus the name. In Greek tetra means "four" and biblos is "book".
